Central Bedfordshire Council have approved Outline planning permission for Residential Development for up to 25 units on land at Clophill Road, Hall End, Maulden, following the conclusion of the Section 106 legal agreement.

This follows a planning approval for residential development on the adjoining site.

The site is a proposed allocation in the Submission Local Plan.

The outline proposals incorporate an ecological buffer to ensure that the development does not encroach on the Maulden Woods SSSI and the habitats of slow worms and badgers in the area.

Affordable housing, a financial contribution to support the extension of Maulden Village Hall and funding for the local education facilities are also included in the proposals ensuring that the development becomes a sustainable asset in the local community.
