Following a planning appeal and two subsequent redesigns J & J Design have successfully worked with London Borough of Croydon officers to achieve planning permission for the redevelopment of a garage block and erection of two dwellings in a single duplex unit. In particular the proposed development has been designed to respect the local pattern of street blocks and plots and respect local building forms and scale. The planning drawings were prepared by MT Architecture Ltd.
Due to the high PTAL rating of the area and its proximity to public transport this is a zero parking scheme with an innovative roof terrace garden to provide amenity areas.
The project has involved overcoming archaeological and flood risk constraints and has been designed to comply with the National Housing Standards and the Mayor of London Housing Supplementary Planning Guidance.
